Hannah's Story...
Meet Hannah, a black beauty with white legs and eyes that melt your heart. She is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! One thing that makes this girl stand out, are her precious white socks on her front feet. Everyone always says how sweet and gorgeous she is. She may have some border collie/Australian Shepherd or flat coated retriever in her mix as her hair is slightly longer on her back. Hannah is a lovely puppy of around 6 months old and 30 lbs. She will probably be a medium to large dog when grown. She is already housetrained, walks gently on a leash, is crate trained, microchipped, up to date on vaccines including her heartworm preventative, and spayed. Hannah plays well with other dogs and seems to be ok with cats. She does chase birds when outside. She loves people and she is learning to play with toys. Hannah is fostered in Huntsville, AL and is ready to find her FORever home. If you are interested in this sweetheart please apply for Hannah at www.forrescue.net/dog-application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hannah, a PORTLAND Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie for sale in PORTLAND, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in PORTLAND.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in PORTLAND already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a PORTLAND breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in PORTLAND paves the way for another one to be saved.
