Look at Bill! What a great face! This English Bulldog was born on 7/04/2010. He loves strolling around town, having his belly rubbed and posing by HSNY's best friend, famous pet portrait painter, Mimi Vang Olsen's portrait (Bill thinks she painted it of him!) at the entrance of HSNY's clinic and Vladimir Horowitz & Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center. When Bill was brought to HSNY he had heartworm disease and needed 6 months of treatment and loving care by HSNY doctors, licensed veterinary technicians and animal caregivers. Now Bill is cured and he is awaiting his forever home. True to his breed, he can be a tad stubborn, so he would do best with someone with bulldog experience.
We really appreciate your wanting to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We offer FREE Vet care for the first 3 weeks after adoption. We also have a great adoption matchmaker who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. Please feel free to submit your application!
