Venus's Story...
Look at those eyes!!!! Venus is such a gorgeous and unique looking kitten. She is a marble orange tabby and she's female! A female orange cat is very hard to find which makes this little girl even more special than she already is! Venus lives with dogs, cats, birds and tiny humans and gets along great with them all! She loves to play with her brothers and sister who have not been listed yet but can be reserved! Venus has been spayed, microchipped, given up to date vaccines, is fiv/felv negative and has been examined by a vet. For more info, send an email to info@forrescue.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Venus, a Homewood Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
