Millie the Pig's Story...
Millie is a 1 year old, 40 pound female mini pig. She was seized by animal control because her old owner made her live in a very cramped kennel and was not feeding her enough food. Millie has blossomed in the care of our foster home. She's gained weight, and her darling personality has been revealed. Millie loves people and "talks" to her foster parents whenever they are nearby. Millie adores belly scratches! She also loves dogs and kisses them every chance she gets. Millie enjoys lounging in her baby pool and rooting around in her pile of hay. She's eating a grain that is intended for pigs, but she likes it when we add fresh veggies (squash and lettuce) and fruit (apples and grapes) as a snack. Millie will be micro-chipped and ready to go to her new home on Saturday 6/25. Adoption fee is $100. We prefer to adopt her to someone who has experience with pigs. If you would like to adopt Millie, please email us at info@forrescue.net!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie the Pig, a Nashville Pig (Farm) was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pig (Farm) for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Pig (Farm) from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pig (Farm) breeders who help with Pig (Farm) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
