CHINA

Pretty China is a 3 year old Border Collie Blend.  As a puppy her coat was very soft and it still is.  She does not shed and her coat is medium length.

I rescued China and her 2 brothers when they were babies.  She was adopted at 3 1/2 month old by a family who dumped her.  Thank goodness for microchips, I was notified by the San Antonio Animal Control that she was in their facility and about to be euthanize in about 4 hours.

Of course I rescued her again.  The family said they just did not want a dog any longer, sad.  As a puppy China was quiet and followed behind you just to be near you, she is still that way.  She barks when she needs to go potty or she will just go to the back door.  If she is in her crate she will bark to be let out.

China loves playing with toys ,she will bring the ball back to you, she gets along great with kids.  Other dogs are okay with her, she will play for a little while but she loves her humans and would rather hang out laying around watching you.

China is a shy timid type of girl with adult males, she backs away and barks, there is never any aggression and it will take time for her to feel comfortable.  I have no idea what she endured at her original owner.  But I do know she has a sweet and gentle heart and gets along with other dogs, with people she is happy and wants to play.  She is not demanding or hyper.  She loves to go for walks and ride in the car.  She jumps right in.

She suffers from separation anxiety and would do best in a home where her owner is not gone more than 4 hours each day.  Of course the separation anxiety will pass along with time and China realizing that she is safe and will not be left on the streets or chained up in a backyard.

It would be ideal for China to be in a home with a female, even kids, she gets along great with all children, she is very patient and gentle with small kids, she does not get annoyed with them at all.  It would also be beneficial for China to have some activity in her life, such as walking regularly.

Would you please give China a new forever home, make her a part of your family forever.  She is a great companion for a single person as well as a great family member with kids.  She weighs 43 pounds and at 3 years old has reached her adult weight & height.

Her adoption fee is $150

Our Adoption Process...

All of our puppies/dogs have had their spay/neuter surgery, received all vaccinations required for their age at the time of adoption, rabies shot & certificate (if old enough at the time of adoption), microchip & brochure & tag. They have been dewormed twice and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Their medical records come with each pet at the time of adoption.

Our adoption fees are $150 for dogs and puppies of any age. Some purebred dogs may have a slight increased fee.

We ask that you complete an application before we schedule a meet and greet with the dog of your choice.

We also require home visits especially if there is another dog/cat already in the home of the potential adopter.
