My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COCO is a 7 year old spayed chocolate female Lab who weighs 87 pounds. To describe Coco in two words is Couch Potato. She thinks laying on the couch and looking out the window is one of the nice things about living inside. She is shy when she first meets men especially those wearing hats, she was probably was mistreated by one in the past. When I met Coco, she was shy but would take treats and let me pet him. When we went outside to take some pictures she slowly warmed up to me. By the time I left her tail was waging and she gave me some kisses. I met her at the vet and she a lot more relaxed and greeted me with a wagging tail. She likes to play in the water but hasn't been swimming yet. Has been at family gatherings and does well as long as you let her meet you. If you go slow sure she is a great dog that will make a super addition to any family.
Has been around nieces and nephew age 2 up and is fine with them but has not lived with any. Good with other dogs lived with a young Lab. No cats will chase them. Knows sit, come and down Good on lead. House and crate trained, has run of the house when owner home, crated when she goes to work as younger dog wants to play with her. Coco is rescuer give up. She was rescued from a bad situation, where she was an outside dog who was not vetted, kept on a run with little exercise and attention. She was heartworm positive and had Lyme Disease when rescuer got her. Rescuer had her vetted, treated for heartworms. She asked us to get her a new home as her 2 year old lab will not leave her alone and she is worried that he will hurt her while trying to play. She is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!
