Maya's Story...
My name is Maya. I'm a cuddly tuxedo cat who loves to sit with my family and get hugs and scratches behind the years. Unfortunately, someone in my family is allergic to me. They have done everything that they could to keep me but it's just getting worse for them. I've always been a good girl. I never get into trouble and have never scratched the furniture. I've never bitten or scratched and always use my box. My family is extremely sad, but I think that it is time for me to find a new home. I like a quiet home and have never been outside. If you have room for me in your home, I'll bring my favorite toys and my fancy automatic letterbox. If supporting me would be difficult, my family says that they can help out if it means I have a good home. Please call my family at 530-520-0701 to meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Sacramento Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
