Carly's Story...
04-28-16 - Sweet Carly has had a rough time of it. She was a beloved pet and was put out in the streets during the snowstorm in February when her owners got divorced. Devoted Friends took her in and she ended up really sick. She spent time at our vet's office and it was touch and go for a few days. But Carly's will to live came shining through. She is a very good girl that is a little on the shy side. She loves to be petted but is still uncomfortable being held for long periods. She's up to date on all her shots, spayed and felv/fiv negative. Do you have the patience and room in your heart to give this girl her new forever home. She's just over a year old and is so pretty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carly, a Ortonville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ortonville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ortonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ortonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ortonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ortonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
