My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bingo is a 2-3 year old, 27 pound male beagle that was found as a stray in South Carolina. He has been in a foster home for almost a month and will be coming to Penny Angels on Saturday, 7-2-16. This is what Bingo’s foster mom learned about him:

“Bingo had been hanging out in a neighborhood going from house to house looking for someone to give him food and attention and a home. Animal Control picked him up and took him to a very full shelter where dogs were already facing the possibility of euthanasia due to space. His stray hold came and went, and still no one came. Another week passed and no one came to adopt the little guy. Penny Angels was contacted to see if they could help this boy find a home before difficult decisions had to be made. Penny Angels said YES, and I became his foster mom until he was ready to travel to NJ.

“Bingo is a very sweet boy that loves to snuggle! He is one of the best snugglers ever! At night, he sleeps by my side – usually with his head on my shoulder or on the pillow next to me. What a joy to wake up and see that precious face! He will stay by your side like that until you get up, so if you’re not an early riser, it’s okay! But when you get up, he gets up and is ready to eat and play!

“One of the funny and amazing things about Bingo is how he jumps! Just let him hear the sound of food in his bowl and he starts bouncing and jumping. He is able to jump from the floor to our 30 inch high dresser! Sometimes you can find him there looking at his reflection in the mirror. That’s why we called him Bouncing Bingo! Although he has never attempted to jump our fence, it would be strongly recommended that he have a home with at least a 4-foot high, fenced-in yard.

“Bingo is quite the character and loves to play with the other dogs. He loves to run and play with toys. He does the best zoomies! Around and around he goes in big circles, sometimes passing the other dogs he is chasing. He gets along great with all his foster sisters and brothers (beagles and non-beagles, & young and old). From the minute he walked in the door, he made friends with everybody because of his happy-go-lucky nature.

“Bingo is house trained now and hasn’t had an accident in the house in a couple weeks. We are still working on leash training. He will crouch to the ground when the leash is placed around his neck (maybe something from his past), but he will start moving with encouragement, and then he becomes his happy-go-lucky beagle self and wants to sniff everything within 5 miles. He is a very active boy! He does NOT like to be crated and will cry. However, he is crated when we leave because he does have a curious, active (and bouncing) nature.

“Photos of Bingo do not do him justice. He has the most beautiful coat. His colors are deep and rich. He also has an adorable face that you just want to kiss. Hence, his other nickname, Mr. Smooshy Face. You couldn’t ask for a more loving companion and snuggle bug than Bingo. Please contact Penny Angels for more info about this wonderful, young boy!”
