  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

■ ■ HELP!!! JASPER NEEDS US to FIND him a GREAT HOME! He's the SWEETEST SENIOR -- FOUND as a STRAY, recently ADOPTED only to get out and get LOST (not the right placement for him) -- and NOW .. "71 pounds of SUGAR in the form of a SHEPHERD MIX named JASPER is BACK AT a FULL, MUNICIPAL SHELTER!!!" ■ ■

He is DOG FRIENDLY, 9 years old, and SUPER SUPER SWEET and GENTLE!

Jasper is our gorgeous, 9 years young Shepherd mix. He came to us as a stray, already neutered, and with a microchip. We tried many times to contact the person who the chip was registered to, but it went no where. This beautiful boy now is in need of a true forever home. Jasper is a very handsome, tri colored boy, with the sweet floppy years, and happy smile. He already knows the commands "sit" and "paw", and is treat motivated. Jasper likes other dogs too, so if you are looking to add another dog to your home, please consider this deserving boy. Jasper is quite the charmer too, and although he is nervous of new people, he warms up, and just wants love.

■ LOCATED: LONG ISLAND, NY (Transport IS available in the Northeast)
■ Approximately 9 yo, neutered male, chipped and UTD on shots
■ Shepherd Mix, Very sweet, gentle and knows commands
■ OLDER KIDS just because he's a bit nervous at the shelter

About Road to Home Rescue Support - Long Island, NY

About Our Rescue Group...

Road to Home was started to be able to focus on animals in need and to provide support to local rescues. After years of working in shelters and with rescues, we decided starting our own rescue was the best way to do what we do best! We are a 100 percent non-profit and 100 percent of the money we raise goes towards animals in need. Our 5013c is pending. Here’s what we will focus on:

-Providing guidance and support for re-homing an animal.
-Providing medical attention, training, spay/neuter, and food/supplies to a homeless animal.
-Pulling an animal from a euthanasia list or from an unsafe situation and placing them in a foster or permanent home.
-Working with rescues and shelters to facilitate adoptions by doing home checks, adoption applications, and networking to find foster or permanent homes for animals in need.
-Working with rescues and shelters to coordinate adoption events, food drives, and fundraisers.
-Raising money through a Chip-In to help specific dogs with training, medical needs, and adoption.
-Raising funds that can be allocated to specific needs of other rescues and shelters (including medical expenses, training expenses, food, and transport) as well as pledging money to animals in jeopardy of euthanasia.
