Bobo has been through a lot in the past several months. He was surrendered to a local shelter, became very overwhelmed by the shelter environment  and came to Black Cat Rescue absolutely terrified. He's since been treated for a UTI and b lockage.

He's had a bumpy road and been slow to warm up, but patience has paid off!

Most recently, the Foster Volunteer caring for Bobo had this to say about him:
Bobo  has been doing great! It is really wonderful. He has been very playful and will meow until I spend time with him. He loves playing with balls, and as I mentioned before, knows how to fetch which is so cool. He also has a lot of energy and is much more agile then when he first came. In terms of his health, he has been peeing and eating well, and seems to be getting a lot of fluids.
He loves attention. If I'm working he will come up on my desk and hang out with me, but he also knows to give me some time alone after a while. He purrs the moment he is near a person, and loves being petted (and he gestures where he wants to be petted and scratched). Last night I was scratching him and he fell asleep against my leg -- wish I had a picture!
He loves cuddling and falling asleep near people. He is also a nuzzler -- he will always try to get on the same level as someone so he can nuzzle their head. He likes to follow people and rub against their legs as they walk. He also puts his paw on my hand and foot, and will keep it there even when I try to move. If I snap he will usually come to where I want him -- last night he was standing in front of the tv and I snapped and he came next to me instead.
The coolest thing and most surprising thing yet -- he started being lap cat! A week ago he climbed onto my lap, and stayed there for 30 minutes. He has done this other times as well and it is so nice.
He has also made some spaces in the apartment his own but they are all out in the open -- he likes his cat bed, and sitting in boxes. He hardly ever hides when new people come in to the apartment. He is comfortable going up to them for the most part.
He can still get a bit frazzled by sudden movements, but a lot less than before.
All around, he is doing wonderfully and is a really special cat. Each week has felt like a new surprise.
