Oreo's Story...
Hello. My name is Oreo. I am a 1 1/2 year old blue heeler mix. I weigh about 40 pounds. I am completely house broken, but still working on being crate trained. My foster mother gets followed around all day, because I want to be by her side at all times. I love snuggling up next to people and getting loved on! Because I love people so much, I get a little nervous when they leave for a long time. I have trouble staying home by myself, so I would love to go to a home where I am not left alone all day.

I have a foster brother that I love to play with, but I prefer to be the dominant dog in the house. I would do best in a house where I am either the only dog or have another submissive dog. I really love my foster mother's 2 year old son. Although I love giving him kisses and chasing him around the house, I sometimes get overexcited and knock him down. I just want a family to love on, who will love me back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a White Settlement Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in White Settlement, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in White Settlement.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in White Settlement already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a White Settlement breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in White Settlement paves the way for another one to be saved.
