The name is Drax , I am all boy and SSGR pulled me from Rowan County Animal Shelter last Summer . I am an estimated 3 years old and have soft, white furr and such a sweet personality that my foster Mom calls me " her whittle wabbit" I am a light-weight at 60lbs . I have a funny little gait - I trot like a horse !
I am a house dog but love to go outside - I am crate trained but would rather sleep with you. I do have some mild separation anxiety and may chew something I am not supposed to it you leave me home alone. There is a simple solution , just put me in my crate and I'll feel safe. I just want to be where you are without being overbearing.
I live with two other shepherds and a 10 and 13 year old. I love my dog friends and children. But if your children leave stuffed animals and dolls out , I love those too. I still have some puppy excitement left in me and am clumsy sometimes so probably not great around tiny children. No cats either I have a strong prey drive . Most of the time I am slow and calm but I do get excited when you come home or feed me!
I am trained on an electric in ground fence but although I am neutered I have taken a shock to get close to a pretty lady once or twice.
I am always happy, I love car rides but am overwhelmed in busy places. I do great at the vet and kennel but busy parks scare me.
I would be a perfect family dog. I don't like to walk long distances. I take a little medicine for arthritis .I'm can be lazy or will play if you want to. I love to fetch balls and sometimes will fetch and throw for myself.
I'm not a big barker. Not a watch dog either. I love everyone ! I am not aggressive at all toward strangers ( or protective)! I would just as soon jump in another car and go with them too!
I am being fostered near Albemarle, NC. Come stroke my soft fur and I will give you a kiss . Interested in adopting me? Fill out an app or contact your coordinator...you must live in NC, MD, or VA.
