Facts about Timon

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Timon is a one-human type of guy. That’s not to say he doesn’t like people in general—in fact, he loves the attention. But he tends to form a very strong bond with “the one.” And sadly, he was separated from his “one,” but we’re not quite sure how or why. You see, Timon was adopted then later found as a stray. So, it’s not surprising that he’s a bit fearful of new environments and strangers. But Timon is more than ready to form a new bond with the right owner, preferably in a quiet, calm home without small children.

Come make Timon you’re one and only.

Going for a car ride? Take me along!
I love playing with Kong toys
Squeak! Squeak! I love Squeaky chew toys!
I’m a great walking partner and can go for miles
Did someone say ‘treat’? I’ll take them all
I need a little extra time to warm up to people I don’t know
I prefer quiet environments that aren’t crowded
I’d love to find a home without small children

About PAWS Chicago

About Our Shelter...

PAWS Chicago is the city's largest No Kill humane organization, focused on solutions to end the killing of homeless pets. Since our founding in 1997, homeless dogs and cats killed annually in the City of Chicago has dropped more than 50 percent. PAWS Chicago is working to build a No Kill Chicago -- a city where pets are no longer destroyed just because they are homeless.

Foster-to-Adopt Period:

The first 14 days following every adoption is considered the Foster-to-Adopt period. Foster-to-Adopt is a great way to see if a dog is a good fit for the adopter’s lifestyle. It is also a great way to see how the animal behaves in a home environment. During the 14-day Foster-To-Adopt period, if the adopter decides the adopted animal is not the right match, the adoption fee is reimbursed when the animal and their medical records are returned to PAWS Chicago.
