Schroder's Story...
Schroder came in filthy and skinny covered with ticks and fleas... we cleaned him and and did all vetting... his teeth look about 3-4 yrs old.. but he acts like a puppy and hair is so soft... he loves the other dogs and loves life! He needs a great forever indoor home.. pretty certain he has NOT had a good home in his life...... yet. UPDATE - He's been in foster and actually seems to be house trained. He loves kids, fits in well with dogs and cats. He's small and perfect size. Please give him a chance at a forever home. Pictures 3 & 4 was taken in his foster home.

Act quickly to adopt Schroder. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Schroder, a New Martinsville Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in New Martinsville, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog from a breeder in New Martinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Martinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Martinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Martinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
