Come on over. Have a seat. Let me tell you a little story about a cat named Josie and how she ended up here. I was rescued when I was just a little kitten. I had a wonderful home. I was so happy. Then one day, the unthinkable happened; my owner stopped coming home. People stopped by and fed me occasionally for a little while. They said my owner passed away. I didn’t really understand what that meant; I just knew I missed her. Then the people stopped coming. No one wanted me. My hair became all matted because no one petted me or brushed me. I was lonely, dirty, and hungry.
Finally, I was rescued by some very nice people, and they told me that they would help me find a new happily ever after. They cut my hair and gave me lots of food and attention. I may not look as pretty as I once did, but I promise my fur will be beautiful when it grows back.
I may have hit a rough patch in life, but I remember what it was like to have a home of my own and an special human that loved me. I just know there’s someone out there who will shower me with attention and love me forever.
