You don’t know Jack, but you could! Jack is an almost 6-year old, 53 pound German Shepherd/ Chow mix who is looking for his forever home. His family was moving to a place without a fence and had a change in jobs, so they felt they were no longer a good home for him. Jack enjoys the company of people once he’s had a chance to sniff and meet them and he is okay with other dogs, but not cats. He knows his basic commands and is house-trained, but not crate trained. He has not been destructive in the home when left loose. He pulls some when he starts out on his leash, but walks well once the initial excitement has passed. Jack will be protective of his family and home and will bark at strangers, but he backs off and quiets down when told to. He enjoys sitting near his people and likes to be petted. He is not protective of his regular kibble or toys, but may guard a rawhide. Jack is current on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He is an inside dog who appreciates a nice soft bed to lay on. Jack wants a home with a fenced yard and a family who will include him in their daily activities. He would prefer to be an only dog and would do best in a home without young children. This handsome boy has a lot of love to give to a family who will love him back.
