I am already neutered, housetrained, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Costello's Story...
Costello is a 18 month old, ~45lb , Shepherd mix. He was found as a stray with Abbott and was saved hours before he was scheduled to be killed for space in a NC shelter. Costello knows some basic obedience, is housebroken and crate trained. He loves people and has been excellent with the other dogs in his foster home. He would do best in a home with kids 15+ because he sometimes wants to play too rough and needs verbal correction. Costello is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines with an adoption fee of $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Costello, a Jarrettsville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Jarrettsville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Jarrettsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jarrettsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jarrettsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jarrettsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
