Evie is a young petite bundle of love, cuddles, and energy, emphasis on the energy!  She was turned in to the rescue covered in fleas, missing fur, and extra thin.   We estimate her to be around 8 months old.

It appears that she hasn’t had any training, but she is eager to please.  Of course, you have to capture her young adolescent attention first.  There are so many new things for her that it’s hard for her to focus on just one.  When she first came to the rescue, she crawled on the ground trying to hide under things.  Now she enjoys walking with her companions and enjoys exploring the big world.  She finally realized that humans can be fun to be with and good protectors for a shy pup.

She needs an active family that can continue to help her feel safe, work on her training, a family that understands that she needs both physical and mental exercise to help burn her energy and help her keep from becoming bored.  She would  love to have another canine companion who could keep up with her, one who could be her mentor would be great too.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.

We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next!
