My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jax!
Jax is a 2-year-old male German Shepherd Dog in need of a new family. Jax is a really cute Shepherd with a lot of personality. He came from a loving home, but unfortunately had issues with the young children in the house. A child tried to hug him while he was feeding and that resulted in the child taking a bite. From there things started going downhill and Jax was surrendered to us, as it wasn't going to be a fit going forward around the kids.
Jax is doing well with us at Von Dubinhaus and we are confident he will make a fine animal for a situation without children. That said, we'll want a strong leader who can set solid boundaries for Jax and maintain consistent discipline so he knows not to cross the line again, even when put in situations that make him uncomfortable, like kids for example. Luckily, his adoption comes with lifetime training, so we will assist his owner in training him up and making him a confident, respectful, well-balanced dog. We want someone who will take advantage of that offer, though, so Jax doesn't get himself into any more trouble, and reaches his potential.
Jax is neutered, housebroken, up to date on shots, and crate trained. Homes with other dogs of decent size will be considered, but we prefer it be a female and Jax and the dog will need to be fully socialized before he goes home. If you feel you are a good fit for Jax and can lead him to success, please fill out an application and we will contact your shortly!
