Sadie's Story...
This little beauty is Sadie, a 7 year old Lhasa Apso mix who has found herself in need of a new home. She and her housemate were brought to the shelter when their previous owner wanted to go traveling, and didn't want to pay to board them. Sadie can be a little nervous around new people, and just needs a little time to warm up. She has been around children and has been fine with calm ones that know how to act around a small dog. She is okay with other friendly small dogs, but can be intimidated by larger ones. Sadie has also lived with a cat and was great. We were also told she is housetrained, loves to snuggle on her bed and sleep with you, and loves small plush squeaky toys. Sadie is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Benbrook Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
