Rhubard's Story...
Hey there, I'm Rhubarb. I'm a fun loving little pup that is 8 weeks old and living it up in my foster home. I get along great with my foster sister/sibling and my other large foster brother. I like taking naps most of all and my foster mom loves the sounds of my snores. For being such a young little lady, I'm great at going outside and letting my foster mom know when it's time to take me out. I'm a bit on the clumsy side, but hey all puppies are! I love to romp around and play but I'm also super smitten on giving kisses before a Saturday afternoon movie sesh. Let me know what it was all about when I wake up. I'm ready to start a new exciting chapter in my life with a fun family and I hop that person finds me soon!

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rhubard, a Memphis Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
