Adorable precious little Annie is a 6 year old Terrier mix with huge big brown eyes. This little girl is such an easy girl to have around, very sweet, undemanding and completely potty trained. We don’t think she had much care in her previous life. When she first came into foster care, she would flinch when foster mom picked up even the smallest remote. Her behavior indicates that someone was abusive towards her in her past, yet she is capable of great love. When she first came to her foster home, her eyes were so incredibly sad and sorrowful, such a joy to watch her begin to blossom with love. She prefers to sleep in her own bed on the floor next to foster mom, though she is invited to sleep in the big bed. She loves lounging on the outdoor couch with foster mom. Such a pleasure to see her wagging her tail and beginning to enjoy exploring the world and gaining confidence every day! She is working on her leash training and loves loves loves going for a walk. She is great in the car and for a shy girl, becomes very outgoing getting out in the car and for her walks. She is not a girl that will jump in your lap and shower you with kisses upon meeting you, but one who will sweetly come for a pet and a love. She jumps onto foster dad’s lap to get her snuggles in. She is good with other dogs, she is not overly playful. Cats are unknown. She would be fine as an only dog as she doesn’t seem to need canine companionship. She is a very mellow laid back girl. She loves to join foster family in the garden and sun bathe. Showing a girl like this how to love and be loved is one of the most rewarding experiences. She would love a calm quiet home with someone that she can get out and about with for her walks as she really blossoms when out and about. She gets so excited when foster mom is getting ready to go out, she literally begs to go with! Watching her prance around happy to be getting to go somewhere, her excited happy dance when it is time to eat is so heart warming watching her gain confidence and opening up to being loved and giving love! What a little sweetheart! This reserved girl is not recommended for a home with children. She would love someone who has time to spend with her, teaching her how wonderfully kind and loving a human can be. She is learning to trust and love in her foster home and her eyes lit up with love and a sparkle now as her sadness is receeding. She would be an awesome companion for a calmer home with a young retiree, work from home or stay at home person who would like a wonderful companion to share their life with! She has been vaccinated, dewormed, frontline, microchipped and spayed. She is ready for her happily ever after!
