Bowzer's Story...
We recently welcomed little Bowzer to Kiko thanks to a very nice lady who rescued him from an uncertain future. The wee Pit Bull Terrier / Boxer mix was born only about 7 weeks ago and is a real sweetheart. A typical puppy, he is friendly, playful, healthy, and well adjusted. Bowzer is currently being fostered with other dogs and is quickly learning things from his new canine pals, who have already become very fond of their young visitor. He sleeps in a crate in his foster’s room, is pretty quiet through the night, and holds himself until he goes straight outside in the morning. Bowzer has relatively smallish paws, indicating that he will probably not grow to be a very large dog. Puppies are a lot of work and cannot be left alone for long periods of time, so please make sure you are prepared for the work involved before considering adopting one. Bowzer’s breed mix is not to his advantage, but it’s only logical that a responsibly raised puppy of any breed can learn how to be a good canine citizen. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you are interested in adopting Bowzer. If he is still available by Saturday, July 9, we are planning to have Bowser at our adoption day at Mon Ami.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowzer, a Rigaud American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
