My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✰✰ CHLOE Female 8 Months and AVAILABLE - for more photos of CHLOE please click http://norcalbcrescue.org/chloe_2016.html ✰✰

CHLOE is a wonderful 8-month old smooth coated border collie. Her sweet face and silly ears match her personality perfectly. She is medium sized, weighing about 35 lbs. with a bit of growing left to do. CHLOE loves to play Frisbee and ball so much that when she brings them back to you, she’ll actually toss her toys to you. CHLOE is a very sensitive, so she can be a little shy in new situations or with new people, but she quickly warms up to people. CHLOE’s a cuddler too – she’ll be happy to snuggle on the couch with you. CHLOE still has a lot to learn, but she’ll be a quick study. She wants to please and is motivated by toys, treats, and praise. CHLOE is learning to walk on a leash. CHLOE is athletic and “bendy” so once she matures she would likely make a great Frisbee dog. She definitely would make a great running partner.

Hi. I’m CHLOE. I used to live with a really great family but one of them got very ill and so I am looking for a new home. I really love to play Frisbee, and snuggle, and then play some more Frisbee. Sometimes I can even catch the Frisbee in the air! I always bring it back and try to make it land right at my person’s feet. I’m seeing and doing lots of new things in my foster home – sometimes I am a bit timid, but I’m learning that I can be curious and not shy. I like my foster sister too – she’s a border collie like me and likes to play with me.

CHLOE is a medium energy border collie puppy, so it will be important to keep her busy. She seems to have had a great start in life with a loving family and even some puppy training, so she’s got a good foundation. CHLOE doesn’t bark and seems to be completely housetrained. She isn’t destructive in the house and corrects easily with a gentle “no”. CHLOE would do best in an active family that could give her lots of attention, including both mental and physical activity. She would enjoy having another dog to play with, but might be a bit of a pest to a dog in the household that wasn’t interested in playing with her (she is, after all, an 8 month old border collie!). CHLOE is a little curious about the foster family’s cat, but seems respectful, so we think she would be okay in a household with a cat. CHLOE is crate trained and sleeps well in her crate at night.

CHLOE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about CHLOE, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

CHLOE is being fostered north of Sacramento, California.
