Peaches's Story...
How sweet is this little princess?! Peaches is approximately 8 months old and weighs in at a whopping 4.75 pounds!! Princess Peach was rescued from a rural west Tennessee shelter after being surrendered by her owner. Poor Peaches was covered in fleas and was matted to high heavens. But with several baths, a hair cut, flea meds, vet care, and love from her foster mom, this little girl is healthy and is as happy as she can be. She is a spunky little girl who loves bouncing around and playing. She can cuddle like no other and would make a great addition to any family! She is working on housebreaking.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peaches, a Southington Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Southington, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
