Clyde is available for foster. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Clyde is currently fostered in Bradenton.
Clyde needs a dog savvy person that has worked with semi-feral dogs before. He is extremely fearful of people. He will come along with you as long as he is on lead, and will allow petting on lead. We are working with him with touch and massage to allay his fears. He needs a calm quiet atmosphere, a couple other kind dogs, a fenced yard and a loving, patient person to work with him. He is very rehabitable. Food-motivated. Crate trained, yes, that is his sanctuary and safe place. He is getting on the bed, plays with the other dogs. He is curious about all the new surroundings, which is a good thing. Once he is comfy with me we will start outside adventures. If there is someone out there that would like to work with a him, it would be a very rewarding experience for both you and the pup. He retreats readily to loud voices and corrections not meant for him but in his vicinity. He can sense a bad day at work and retreat until your mood has changed. He is exceptional at reading people and thus may be with training a good candidate for esd once he has a calm steady environment. That is the goal for him now. If you are willing to foster this boy please let us know, he needs to move forward. We need the right person. He is a lovely smart boy and willing to please.
