**FOSTER NEEDED!** Clyde needs a new foster home! He has made all the progress he can make in his current foster home. He would benefit from a foster (or patient adoptive) home with an more confident dog to learn from. He is currently fostered in Bradenton but we can transport him throughout Florida! We are a foster-based herding dog rescue and we pay for all veterinary expenses and preventive medicines for our foster dogs. Foster applications can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com.

Gentle and shy with not a mean bone in his body, Clyde is a 3-year-old, approximately 40 lb Australian cattle dog x pointer mix who needs some TLC. He came into rescue over a year ago having been semi-feral, and has made great strides. He needs a calm, quiet atmosphere, a kind dog or two, and a loving, patient person who will work with him. He is very food-motivated and does enjoy being petted when he approaches you. He will play with other dogs and likes toys! He needs someone who will get him out and about and teach him all about the world. He is very perceptive and sensitive to the mood in the room. He is very intelligent and curious. Clyde is housebroken, loves his crate (his safe place), and will be rehabilitated with time. Please get in touch if you are interested in giving this boy a foster or adoptive home.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
