Mimosa's Story...
Meet Mimosa, a fun-loving, family friendly Boxer with a happy-go-lucky disposition! Mimosa is definitely needs to pack on a few pounds, but at close to 2 years old, she's fully grown, and therefore she will always be on the small side for her breed. Mimosa is still new to foster care, but her foster mom reports that this cooperative girl is easy to crate, gets along well with other dogs, and at least so far, she appears to be housetrained. You can meet Miss Mimosa at the Dog Adoption House, or for more information, contact pattidcarson@gmail.com. All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimosa, a Baton Rouge Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
