FatBoyCP's Story...
Location: Waynesboro, PA

Fat Boy and his brother, Reggie, are hoping to find a new home since their mom can no longer care for them (due to a terminal illness). Fat Boy is gray and white and Reggie is a gray tabby. They do not have to be placed together but wouldn’t mind if that’s how things turned out. They have lived with and get along with other cats. They also get along with young children. They have been exposed to dogs and are typically submissive. The boys have free roam of their home and are well behaved. They prefer to sleep in their mom’s bed will find any locations to sleep.

The boys are approximately 10 years old, neutered, and current on their vaccines. They have had regular vet care and have no medical issues.

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting them, please contact Geri at 717-816-5427 or

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FatBoyCP, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
