My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leah, a beautiful 18-year-young short-haired black beauty. For an older kitty, she is still quite strong and full of life and given her sweet and easy going nature, would make a perfect companion and lap cat for a senior or someone who is home often.

This sweet and slight kitty (just 8 lbs!) is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She does have a history of bladder crystals but it’s been perfectly controlled with a prescription diet. Leah has excellent house manners. She doesn’t scratch and she always uses her litter box.

This lover is all about snuggles and licks on the face…she’ll sit on any open lap, and she adores looking out the window and taking in the world around her. She also loves treats of fresh chicken, fish, and yogurt and ironically dislikes store bought cat treats! Too processed most likely! ;)

While Leah has become very mellow in her golden years, there are some things she’s not a fan of…mainly, tummy rubs and rough play. Outside of that, she’s spunky, energetic, her coat looks great and she is super calm with new people. A very social girl!

Leah is still playful and likes to have fun with furry little toys, or string/ribbon, or a laser pointer. After playtime, she will thank you with a rub of her face against yours and she’ll lick your cheek to confirm her gratitude.

Silly habit alert! Leah will lick the leftover yogurt from your cup and sometimes she will stick her tongue out post grooming for the perfect photo opp. ;)

Leah would be happiest in a quiet and comfortable home with plenty of social interaction. Would you like to meet our sweet girl?

Leah will come to her forever home with 3 months’ worth of her prescription food, a self-warming cat bed, cat tower, litter box with scoop, food dishes and litter!
