My name is O scar , and I am a TOY BOY not to be confused with a BOY TOY! I love all things toys! I love squeaky toys, stuffed animals (especially if I can de-stuff them!), throw ropes,  Kongs and, if I could chew gum, I would do that too!

I am a year and a half old, weigh 58 pounds, and I am super smart. I've been told that I am probably part lab and part shepherd. My foster mom has taught me hand targeting and to lay down. I already knew sit and high five! I am learning some other  tricks too. My foster mom is teaching me basic manners because I want to impress everyone I meet!

I have a lot of energy so I LOVE to run and I LOVE to play in the water.  I get along great with other dogs, as long as I don’t have to share my food with them. I am great at fetching a tennis ball, and I will bring it back and drop it every time! I love to hike and walk around the neighborhood. Because I am big and energetic, I need to be in a home with larger kids (8+). I get so excited that sometimes I jump (my foster mom is working on this), and I don't want to knock a kid over.

My ideal home would be with an active person since I am energetic. I would love to have a fenced yard to play fetch in. In my foster home I live with three other dogs, but I think I would rather live with one female dog, or I think I would be fine being the only dog as long as I can have play dates with doggy friends. Sorry - no cats!

Let my foster mom know if you would like to know more about me!!!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
