Pauly & her best friend Winston:

Meet Pauline! Pauline has come all of the way from South Carolina to find her forever home. She LOVES all people and is noted to be one of the sweetest dogs her foster mum has ever encountered. She is a professional cuddler and likes to sleep in bed with her foster mum, but is also okay sleeping on the floor next to the bed. Pauline loves belly rubs and has an adorable habit of offering her belly to anyone, anywhere including a busy streetcar! She would make a wonderful family pet for anyone looking for a sweet, affectionate and playful forever friend.

Pauline has a playful streak but also the maturity to relax and hang out, and chew on her favorite toys. She is house trained and does well when left home alone. She has never shown any destructive tendencies and would do well in an apartment or condo.

She is quickly learning basic commands such as sit, stay, wait etc. and when indoors, she is very responsive when called. She is still working on “wait”. Outdoors, Pauline is easily distracted by all of wonderful things to see and do and does need some work on her listening skills. Her foster mum says she is a very smart girl and that with time and patience, she is easily trainable.

Although Pauline plays very well with other dogs at the dog park, she does show some signs of food and toy guarding. Her foster mum says this behavior only occurs around other dogs and that Pauline has never demonstrated any possessiveness over her food or toys with her humans. For this reason though, we would recommend a home where she will be the only dog. Pauline has not been cat tested, but does like to chase squirrels and birds so cat free home is preferred.

About Fetch & Releash

About Our Rescue Group...

We at Fetch & Releash believe every dog deserves a second chance regardless of age, breed, background, health and/or behavioural issues. Through our network of volunteers, foster homes, trainers, and veterinarians, we work hard to find our dogs the loving forever home they deserve.

Fetch & Releash was established in 2016 with a mission of saving homeless dogs. We are 100% volunteer run.

Our dogs come from a variety of different situations and locations such as pounds/shelters, strays, and surrendered pets - both locally and abroad. We provide our dogs with the best care and a chance to find their forever homes by placing them with loving and caring volunteer foster parents. In order to prevent further over-population, all pets are spayed or neutered, age and health permitting.

As a completely volunteer-based organization, we are only able to find our pets their forever homes with the help of our volunteers and donors. Visit to learn more about volunteering, fostering or donating.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt one of our dogs, please fill out an application at Although we do our best to reply to all inquiries within 48 hours, please remember we are a 100% volunteer based organization, and many of us have full time jobs outside of rescue. We appreciate your patience.

Once your application has been received, a Fetch & Releash volunteer will contact you to set up a time to speak over the phone. The phone call usually takes about 30-45 minutes. Our priority is to ensure the fit is right for both you and the dog, so ask as many questions as you would like! After the phone interview, we will reach out to your personal and veterinarian references (if applicable), and your landlord (if applicable).

If we determine that you are a potential fit for the dog you applied for, you will then be granted a private meet and greet with the dog. If after the meet and greet, you would like to proceed with adoption, a Fetch & Releash volunteer will then contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption committee will then review your completed application and make a final decision.
