Lily's Story...

Lily and Noodle are 7 month old littermates, trapped by a kind woman who spayed and vaccinated them out of her own pocket.  These two girls are friendly and loving, and begin purring almost before you touch them. Noodle is a glossy black and white tuxedo with a pink nose; Lily is also glossy black and white, with almost a full white 'collar', and a longer white streak up her nose.   These two girls have been with us for more than three months now, and need to find forever their forever home.  For an adopter willing to take both, we'll do a two-fer - both wonderful kittens for the price of one!

Lily and Noodle are spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and are up-to-date on shots.

If you're interested in adopting Lily and Noodle, please stop by our Adoption Center at PetSmart, 10  Trader's Way, Salem, MA on Saturday or Sunday from 11-4.  You may also request an adoption application via email, that you can complete and submit for approval, by sending a message to

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a Salem Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
