Stella's Story...

Jewel, Stella, Russell and Brady are four of many kittens that were living in a welding shop (cousins to Cleo, Cedric, Andy and Alvera). These kittens are 16 weeks old and are cuddly and playful, and though they’re a bit shy with new humans, they warm up quickly.  Jewel is a cute little tortie, Stella is a calico with white on her face and her paws.  Russell and Brady are both black and white males with a blaze up their nose, but the right side of Brady’s face is white, while Russell is wearing a full black mask, leaving him with a “kiss” on his nose.  The kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and are up-to-date on shots.

These kittens are currently in foster care but will be in our Adoption Center at PetSmart, 10 Trader's Way, Salem, MA very soon.  If you're interested in adopting one of the kittens, you may request an adoption application via email, which you can complete and submit for approval, by sending a message to adoptions@palsanimallifesavers.com.  Once approved we can set up an appointment to meet the kitten at her foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Salem Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
