Zeus's Story...

Zeus is a very nice, friendly, 3-year old male tabby. He was a stray that was rescued from the streets and is now in foster care. Zeus loves people, and really loves his catnip toys!  He likes to be carried around on your shoulder to look out window and view the world. Zeus is buff colored, has short hair, and the most unusual colored eyes - they are acorn brown, very handsome. He is well mannered in all areas and will make a wonderful addition to a loving home. We’re not sure how Zeus is with other cats, but he seems to be interested in other kitties and will most likely be fine if introduced properly.  Zeus is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is up-to-date on shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Salem Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
