Estefania's Story...

Hannah’s three 9-week old kittens, Estefania, Stephanie, and Stephan, are all cute, spunky little kittens.  They were born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a problem in the brain affecting their balance.  They run, play, pounce, hunt, and cuddle just like normal kittens - they have no idea that there is anything wrong.   Estefania, a beautiful calico-tabby, is the spunkiest of the three kittens, and will play non-stop.  Stephan, a handsome brown and white tabby, and Stephanie, a brown and black tabby, are also playful and quite sweet.  All three are very interested in other cats and kittens.  The kittens have all been spayed and neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and have received age-appropriate shots (they will need distemper boosters and rabies vaccine soon).

If you're interested in adopting a cat or kitten, please stop by our Adoption Center at PetSmart, 10 Trader's Way, Salem, MA on Saturday or Sunday from 11-4.  You may also request an adoption application via email, which you can complete and submit for approval, by sending a message to

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Estefania, a Salem Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Salem, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
