Handsome MAX is looking for his forever family! *courtesy post-contact Nicole via email at nicolereyes87@gmail.com for adoption information

Hello! My name is Max! I am a lab/hound mix, 40 pounds, and will be 3 years old this coming October. I am neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. I know the commands sit, stay/wait and paw. I get very excited when I see other dogs and want to play but I am shy when meeting new people. I like when people approach me slowly and let me sniff their hand before petting me when they first meet me- once I do that I am friendly and not so scared. I don’t like cats. I tend to pull on a leash when walking, but I respond very well to a “no-pull” collar. I don’t like being in a crate but I am house broken (as long as I have a doggie dog with access to the outside) and I never ever chew things up or tear things up around the house. I love playing fetch and respond well to treats. I love going on car rides and love keeping my head out the window to feel the California breeze. I have a ton of energy when we are outside but I am a huge cuddly couch potato when we are inside the house. I do tend to bark when my owners are leaving, I just love being with my owners so much that I hate to see them go! I am a loyal dog who just wants a lots of love!

About I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
