Candace's Story...
Anthony and Candace were found on the streets of Cincinnati, with bright spirits and sweet personalities despite having never known a warm home or a kind human hand. People say black cats get overlooked, but these two make sure that you know their presence the second you walk into the room--their little meows call out and their tiny paws reach for you as if to say, "yeah, just TRY and overlook this!" We certainly couldn't, and so we decided to help them find the loving homes they deserve, where they can give all the head butts and purrs in the world and know they'll never be forgotten again for as long as they live.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on shots, combo tested negative for FIV/Leukemia and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candace, a Covington Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Covington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
