He turned a year old Jan 27. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on his shots. He is healthy, except for his cherry eyes. We took him to a vet in Durango CO. She gave us antibiotic eye drops and is very confident that the cherry eyes would be able to be poped back in after a few months of the drops. Since he has had to stay outside more, they have really flared up, so I believe he will need a family that will keep him as an indoor dog. He loves loves kids. He is very timid, (he is afraid of anything new) and he is afraid of cats, but with time and the right introduction, I'm sure he would be fine with them. He loves to play. He loves stuffed toys and balls. He doesn't like the kennel. He stops eating and becomes very depressed if he has to go in there.
He is incredibly smart. He can open doors, and cupboards. Left alone he becomes super destructive, so he will need a family with other dogs or a job to keep him stimulated. He is also an accomplished fence jumper. He can easily clear a 7ft fence, but not to run away. He jumps the fence, comes around to the front door and rings the bell to be let in. He really loves to be inside with his family.
