Esme's Story...
Hi! My name is Esme! I'm a 6 lb, 8 year old Maltese. I had mammary tumors removed because I was used for breeding before I was left at the shelter. I will need to be rechecked every 6 months for cancer but Doc got good margins and removed everything so I am now a happy and healthy girl .I am a little doll who loves nothing more than to cuddle my stuffed animals and sit in your lap. I am now spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and looking for my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Esme, a Los Angeles Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
