Regina's Story...
Regina is a black lab mix who is around 1-2 years old. By the look in her eyes, it is apparent she has not had the best life, but all that has now changed. She is doing great with the other dogs, loves her babies and is just as sweet as she can be! She is HW positive and will have to be treated. She has just started the protocol so she is on her way to treatment, but it will be a few months before she is able to be adopted. She will also need to be spayed before she leaves. if you are interested in Regina, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Adoption donation is $250

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Regina, a Homer Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homer, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
