This is Kira. She is a 4-5 year old pitbull mix. She is all white except for her face and one circle on her back/base of tail. They called her Bunny at LC4. We thought it was because of her big floppy ears, but she hops like a bunny, too! She was found as a stray, emaciated and practically bald. It seems the baldness came from scratching and rubbing her back due to allergies. Using Benadryl and coconut oil baths, her coat is almost perfect again. Speaking of almost perfect, this girl is. She knows commands, is house trained, crate trained, and gets along with other dogs. Kira's enjoys playing fetch, chewing on antlers, running, walking, sunbathing, cuddling, and going for car rides. She likes to stick her whole head out the window! Kira will need to find a home without cats, or other small animals. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting Kira, please complete an adoption application at www.toledospetbullproject.com/adoption-info/

Our Adoption Process...

All of our dogs are in foster homes so once you decide on which dog you would like to meet and/or adopt, complete and submit an adoption application, which can be found at www.toledospetbullproject.com/adoption-info/ (please copy and paste into your browser).

The application will be reviewed; if the applicant meets our adoption criteria, the application will be passed on to the foster. The foster will then contact you and make arrangements for your family to meet the dog. A home visit is required for all of our adoptions. If you are out of our area, we will make arrangements with a rescue group in your area.

Our adoption fees are as follows:
$150 for dog/puppies under 1 year
$125 for dogs over 1 year
$75 for senior dogs (depends on breed)
For Puppies 4 months old and younger: Adopter agrees to pay a $50 training retainer in addition to the adoption fee. The $50 training retainer will be refunded to adopter after completing a dog training class and showing proof of certificate
