Misty's Story...
Hi, we are three precious babies looking for our forever homes. Our mom was a stray who got in the family way and was taken in to foster care before she had us. We were so glad we did not have to be born outside with no one to care for us. As it was we made a very difficult entrance into the world. We were born by C-section and almost didn't make it, but thanks to the vet team and our foster mommy we are now healthy 11 week old babies. I (Breezy) am the character of the group. I am the most active and outgoing, but definitely a lap cat and the one who follows you around begging for a cuddle or purring for you to rub my tummy. Misty lives to play but is a total lovebug and will always stop for a scratch behind the ear or a snooze on your lap. Splash is the mellowest of the three with the most endearing orange face. She doesn't care much for playtime, she'd rather be curled up on your lap. We would like to be adopted in pairs, as a play mate for another kitty, or better yet all 3 together. Please come and check us out, we guarantee you’ll fall in love.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 or apply online and ask our foster mom Kelsey all about us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
