Rudy is 8-9 years old and a big loveable boy. He is a Shepherd/Malinois mix rescued from Miami-Dade Animal Services over 3 years ago. He was in a wonderful foster home until recently due to his foster mom moving and being unable to take him. Rudy has a serious medical issue which requires him to have his back feet cleaned and bandaged daily. He is good with other dogs but too much playing would be hard on his feet and they would open and bleed. He cannot be with cats as he will chase and kill them. Rudy loves people of all ages and only gets a little overzealous when eating. We are desperate to find Rudy a medical foster home where he can get the daily care and quiet atmosphere he needs. Please email us at apr954@aol.com or stop in the shelter at 1137 NE 9th Ave, Ft Lauderdale, 33304 Wed-Mon from 12-5pm. Help us get Rudy a foster home today!

PLEASE NOTE: We require all interested parties to come to the shelter to meet the pet, complete an adoption application, and interview with our Director. We do not do same day adoptions or ship animals. For additional information on our adoption policies, visiting hours and directions please go to Abandoned Pet Rescue.

About Abandoned Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

Abandoned Pet Rescue is a 501 ( c ) (3) IRS tax-exempt, qualified charitable organization that rescues, shelters, and cares for countless abandoned and abused animals and finds them new homes. We have been serving the South Florida community since 1996. Our no-kill animal shelter is located in Ft. Lauderdale, where volunteers of all ages help perform the duties of running the shelter and our operations on a day-to-day basis, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between animals and the community. By conducting neighborhood sweeps, APR helps reduce the pet over population by spaying and neutering feral cats with the use of a mobile veterinary facility.
