My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet little amber is approx 2 yrs old and 11 lbs. She looks like a cairn terrier mix and is just a doll. She is a really nice dog with a sweet disposition. She is very quiet and well behaved, and gets along well with the other dogs. She seems to be pretty well house and leash trained and runs out into the yard with her buddies. She will make a great companion. She tested positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required series of injections and she is also on heart guard as a monthly preventative,

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. .

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
