Oswald's Info...

I am purebred.

Oswald's Story...
Oswald is a purebred American Bulldog. He's also a really nice dog so it's hard to believe someone didn't show up to retrieve him from the shelter. This boy is big! We managed to find a collar to fit around his neck and we were pleased to find that he walks well on the leash. He has apparently had some basic training. Oswald appears to have a friendly interest in other dogs. Out on walks in the park, he's guaranteed to attract attention because of his size. Oswald is in good shape and will keep up a nice trot alongside his walker when encouraged.
American Bulldogs have been described as "typically friendly, happy, and devoted. They get along very well with children but due to their size are best suited for homes with older considerate children. They thrive on companionship and they want to be wherever you are." So far we think Oswald is a good representative of his breed. He will be an unusual and loyal companion in his new home.

Act quickly to adopt Oswald. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oswald, a Berkeley American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
