My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Noah is a 4 month old beagle puppy that was found as a stray on a rural road in South Carolina. He weighs about 15 lbs. right now, but still has room to grow. He was in a foster home for about a week and arrived at Penny Angels on Saturday, July 9. This is what Noah’s foster mom wanted you to know about him:

“When Noah was picked up, there was no sign of any other dog – no momma, no siblings – just a lone puppy. He was taken to the local shelter where he waited for his family to come claim him, but they never did. A Penny Angels volunteer was there to pick up another dog when the rescue coordinator said, “we have a beagle puppy that really needs to get out.” The volunteer’s heart melted and she called Joan with Penny Angels. The volunteer left with two dogs, instead of one!

“Noah is a cute, loving, playful little boy – everything a puppy should be. He has the cutest, little face with floppy ears and beautiful black and brown ticking on his legs. Noah loves to play with toys and with other dogs. He doesn’t seem to realize that his foster brothers and sisters are bigger than he is, and he jumps right in with them. Just like any puppy, he will play and play until he suddenly decides a power nap is needed. The wonderful thing about Noah is that he sleeps all night in a little dog bed beside ours. He is a sweet, little guy that likes to be held in your arms and have his belly rubbed!

“Noah is not completely house trained, but he is learning to use training pads in the house. He has definitely made improvement and is successful about 80 percent of the time. He will go potty outside when he is out in the yard playing. Noah thinks the sole purpose of a leash is for chewing but we are working on that! He does like to chew on things (furniture, shoes, toes). With all that being said, please remember that Noah WAS a stray puppy that doesn’t appear to have had any training. Now he needs someone to show him how to be the proper family pet!

“Noah will bring you joy and laughter and a whole lot of love. Please consider opening your home and your heart to this little guy.”
