Facts about Sheba

  • Breed: Blue Lacy/Texas Lacy/Weimaraner Mix
  • Color: Gray/Blue/Silver/Salt & Pepper
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Sheba is a 7 yr young spayed female, current on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and current on hw and flea prevention too. We think she is a mix of a Greyhound, Weimaraner and possibly a Blue Lacy (which is very similar to an Australian Cattle dog temperament). She is very intelligent, confident, outgoing, and energetic; but also a big cuddle bunny who loves a nice warm blanket, and has a great fondness for the lap of human companions. She is looking for a family to love, and give endless kisses to, and keep her exercised routinely. Sheba LOVES being outside with her human companion and will "tolerate" car rides, but prefers taking walks or jogs routinely.

Because SHEBA has a strong prey drive it is BEST that she not live with cats or small dogs. To help SHEBA keep mentally stimulated, and to help her maintain self control we strongly encourage continued (and reinforced) training by an "experienced handler/leader" and exercise daily. Her favorite activities are: fetch, long walks, running in the backyard, and playing games. She is an avid exercise enthusiast and walks on the treadmill routinely. Her high metabolism requires protein supplements to her diet throughout the week; such as, eggs, liver, and hamburger. A tall fenced yard is a requirement for this girl; privacy is probably best as she has climbed chain link in years past.

About Dream4Pets

About Our Rescue Group...

DREAM is a network (no facility) of VOLUNTEERS with efforts focused on Rescue, Rehabilitation and RE-homing of companion dogs that are neglected, abandoned and sometimes living in county shelters. Our goals: offer resources to REDUCE the overpopulation of cats and dogs - thus reducing euthanizing, PROVIDE educational resources to assist with "responsible pet ownership" and RAISE FUNDS to help with necessary vetting for the pets we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home.

Our adoptions are never finalized until we are 100% assured there is a perfect match for both the applicant and the dog being adopted. Sending us the adoption application is the first step. You will find the application online (on the Adopt Me page at Dream4pets.org). A home visit and reference checks are also made prior to any adoption. Our adoption process typically takes 2 - 4 weeks after the application has been received..
