Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Twixie was rescued along with her brother back in April when they and several other siblings were spotted living in the woods behind a secluded building. The companies owner and employees made several rescue attempts that failed and lead to the pups running away with the exception of the two. On the day she and her brother were rescued one of our friends who is an employee at the company they were found by was working and after his boss decided to keep Twixie's brother he knew it was only right for him to do the same for her. Unfortunately his 3 dogs were not accepting of her which was when he called us to step in and help. Before arriving at his house to pick her up a neighbor begged to take her home to his kids and that he would have her immediately cared for and spoiled. Understanding our rescue is usually at capacity he agreed but with stipulations that he would immediately take her back if they did not take care of her. Out of our hands we prayed that she was safe and would be loved and looked after. Less than 3 weeks later Twixie was here with us at the rescue in worse shape then she had been originally due to neglect from their neighbor. Since her intake we have started her routine vet care and vaccinations in addition to a food regimen which as helped her to gain needed weight in a short time. Her health is great with one exception which is fluid build up on both front joints. Our vet has biopsied both and we are awaiting results as we speak however this condition has no effects on Twixie nor cause her any pain. We will continue to do all we can until a diagnosis can be found while following through with the remaining routine care.
Twixie has been temperament tested, socialized, crate & kennel trained, and learning commands and obedience from our k9 trainer. We are transitioning her from an outside to inside dog and has been doing great with house breaking. Twixie will be fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, HW tested and receive her Rabies vaccine prior to being adopted. Her adoption fee is #$125.00 and will include all records. After being adopted since she is still very young her family will be required to continue her training and routine schedule so that she will continue positive future progress.
If you would like to inquire about meeting with Twixie here at the rescue or want to know more about her or the adoption process please feel free to contact us.
