Comes to us as an owner surrender (OS) along with a younger canine companion. Owner states he is neutered male approximately 5 years of age who they found several years earlier as an injured stray who had been shot in leg needing immediate vet care and intervention. Two surgeries later they had fallen in love with him and states that he adopted them throughout the process. Owners had two other dogs (1) female around his age and (1) male younger that adopted them in the same way over the years. Because of their schedules the dogs were outside most of the time but wanted better for them which was how they came across us.
Upon intake he was already known to his previous family as Buster and we decided to add Brown after his color. This older boy is very laid back and tends to stay primarily to himself. Despite coming in with his younger fur companion brother Luke Sky-Walker who is only 1 year old these two are not bonded. Because Buster Brown had previous trauma he is able to run 30mph as of today but mainly wants to be walked by his human several times a day. Living with his previous family he was NOT exposed to smaller children but seems to be ok with teenage kids and adults. Buster should be the only dog in the home and would benefit from being with a laid back individual or older couple. He is approximately 100 pounds and has a docked tail. Living most of his life outdoors as a stray or inside of his kennel Buster Brown is great indoors as well. He has been fully vetted and very healthy. Due to his past he takes time adjusting to new surroundings but warms up quickly. Buster Brown deserves a wonderful and non chaotic environment to live out the remainder of his golden years. His future companions will be getting a sweet tempered and warm hearted boy that will love them for life.
